2025 Vespa 946 Snake

Winning Best of Show when it debuted at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan, the Vespa 946 was the brand’s first scooter to utilize ABS and traction control. Its overall look evokes a blend of the traditional Vespa styling with a futuristic touch, and its unique seat makes it stand out from the crowd. Starting in 2023, the 946 began a series of limited-production specials that celebrate the Chinese lunar calendar; each year pays homage to that year’s Chinese Zodiac animal with a special livery and graphics. For 2025, that animal is the Snake, so this 946 model uses a iridescent blue livery in icy shades for the bodywork, reflecting the purity and strength of snowy landscapes. The 946 Snake is limited to a production run of just 888 units, making this model even more unique.

Employing a 155cc air-cooled four-stroke engine with three-valve (two intake, one exhaust) cylinder head, the 946 is claimed to have a maximum power output of 13 hp. The basic frame construction is made of welded sheet steel, with some parts such as the saddle support, side panels, front fender, and handlebar made from aluminum. A new suspension system in the rear has the single shock with gas spring mounted horizontally with a progressive linkage system, with the front suspension featuring a single 220mm disc brake. The LED headlight sports a single element for lighting.

The 2025 Vespa 946 Snake is only available in the Snake color and retails for $13,499.
