Triumph Motorcycles Rolls Out 2013 Bonneville Special Edition - Web Exclusive

New Bonnie Special Edition Includes a Distinctive Paint scheme And More

It's always a pleasant surprise when manufacturers release new models this far into the new year, and that's exactly what Triumph has done. The Brit-based bike maker today announced a special edition SE version of its iconic Bonneville standard.

The new Special Edition Bonneville still retains the characteristic 865cc engine, retro styling, lots of chrome accents and cast aluminum wheels, but steps up the look with an array of enhancements, including a bold red frame and an eye-catching new paint job.

You might also recognize the new front indicators and headlight as bits shared with Triumph's Thruxton, while down below spread across the lower frame tubes, you'll also see (oddly enough) a "bash plate." The SE's rear gets a new black pillion grab rail, while contemporary black mirrors up front complete the new look.

There's no question the red frame and Matte Black and Cranberry Red color scheme are what really grab your attention, however. But don't overlook the Bonneville SE's new unique seat design, either, which sports new stitching and vinyl covering.

The new Bonneville SE will be available via the U.S. Triumph dealer network starting May 1, 2013 and will be priced at $7,999.
