The Spidi Metal Jacket ($499.90) features classic styling with some serious '80s flair that'll seriously awaken your inner Fonzarelli without being too obnoxious.
The Metal comes equipped with some pretty top-notch materials to keep you protected. Made from 0.7-0.9mm thick goat leather that's been washed for for increased comfort and fit, the Metal is also breathable and features a Primaloft waterproof material. Spidi claims this jacket is 50-percent waterproof, which I assume is like being "mostly dead" instead of "all dead" (pardon Billy Crystal's reference from The Princess Bride). I haven't rocked the Metal during a downpour yet, but 50-percent wet is still wet to me.
The Spidi Metal comes equipped with four frontal pockets with contrasting zippers. I like jackets with ample storage (I carry a lot of crap around) and the Metal checks this box for me. As for protection, the Metal features EN1621-1 certified Warrior Lite protectors on the shoulders and elbows and a Primaloft removable thermo lining for varying temps.
Overall, the Spidi Metal is a cool piece to have with you if you're looking for something stylish and protective. Albeit, it's "50-percent waterproof" I'd still add the Metal to my collection.
