The So-Cal Cycle Swap is the largest monthly motorcycle gathering in the states. This Long Beach motorcycle swap meet is usually held the last sunday of every month in the Long Beach Veterans' Stadium. The vendor area inside is always a gold mine, but you want to make sure you get there early. Doors open at 7am, and most of the serious buyers are there waiting at the gates. With a little bit of digging through the bins and blankets full of parts, you're likely to find whatever it is you're looking for.
I went looking for a 1970's dirt bike gas tank that I could adapt to run on my Sportster, and within 30 minutes I found an awesome little Hodaka Wombat tank for $30! There are usually over 500 vendors in the market area and well over 1000 bikes in the parking lot, so even if you aren't looking to buy anything the parking lot can be highly entertaining. Most of the vendors tend to favor american-made motorcycles and it seems that there are about 80% cruiser and chopper parts, while the rest of the sellers are focused on nick-nacks, clothing, bicycles and memorabilia. If you are interested in selling: booths are easy to get though their website or you could just show up real early and hope to score a space.
The next event is on April 26, for more information visit socalcycleswapmeet.com
