ESKA Gloves Hit U.S. Shores

Last month, CIMA International Inc, announced that it has become the distributor for ESKA gloves in the United States.

In case you're not up to speed on this glove manufacturing company, ESKA was founded in 1912 by Josef Eska in Austria.

One hundred years later, his great-great grandson is running the family business at their small factory in Wels, Austria, where they still incorporate traditional techniques developed over the last century to produce some of the best gloves in the world. Their vast range of products serves demanding applications such as firefighting, field medical services and extensive military use.

A few years ago, they decided to enter the motorcycling market with a selection of products adapted to the demands of the sport. Most of their riding gloves are made of goat leather, which is very flexible (allowing excellent contact with motorcycle controls) while being extremely abrasion resistant. The leather comes from Pittards in England, the preferred supplier of high-performance leather for the glove and luxury leather-goods industry.

CIMA has selected a few styles out of their extensive catalog, geared toward traditional touring, sport-touring and adventure riders.
