The Hammer S is Victory's more sporty, race-inspired big twin. It the sort of cruiser a guy that's ridden sport bikes his whole life will love. It has that in common with the Octane. The goof folks over at PM American Cycles were obviously big fans of the Hammer S's styling, and wanted to bring their Octane a little closer to that sporty model, while giving it the bite to match it's bark.
A lot of parts unique to the Hammer S were used on this build, and if you're familiar with the model, they're easy to spot. The signature Hammer V handlebars, rear fender and 200 rear tire do most of the work for changing up the stance and really adding the S to the Octane's appearance. For braking and suspension, they added inverted forks, dual front disc brakes, that beefy Akrapovich exhaust system, and most notably: a Zipper's Powerkit.
If you have had the chance to throw a leg over an Octane, you know it's no slouch. In fact, this lil cruiser is an absolute whip. When I saw that they threw a Zipper's kit on this bike, bumping it up 120bhp and 130 ft/lb torque... I got those little warm and fuzzy feelings inside. That's what's up. This is a pretty lightweight bike, especially compared to the Hammer S from which it is modeled after, so to see it pulling big numbers like that gets me all sorts of excited. Heck, I just wanna ride it.
