Everyone knows the ‘biker wave,’ but what most people don’t know is that there’s a full system of motorcycle hand signals designed to non-verbally communicate many of the things riders need to tell each other. From the ever-so-useful tap on the head from oncoming riders to indicate a police officer ahead, or pointing to hazards in the roadway-- here are some of the most common hand signals used by motorcyclists out on the road.
