Maui Jim Road Trip Sunglasses

We've long been fans of the laid back style of Maui Jim Sunglasses. When we were hipped to their new Road Trip line of shades, that are great for motorcycle riders, we had to get a pair to inspect a bit closer.

Shown is the Tortoise Shell model ($229), but there are three other colors to choose from: Olive Tortoise, Blue/Black Tortoise, and Black/Grey Tortoise. The Road Trip’s feature Maui Jim’s MauiPure lenses, which is an inject-molded lens (i.e. plastic) that is one third the weight of standard glass, but offers clarity almost as clear as glass. So it’s kinda the best of all worlds. You get the impact resistance and weight-savings of polycarbonate lenses, but the scratch-resistance and clarity is right up there with glass. The glass is also naturally scratch resistant and MauiPure polycarbonate lenses perform better and longer with the added durability of Maui Jim's optically correct Clearshell technology that's applied to the front and back of the lens.
