Sneaky, sneaky... I love bikes that have 100 times more going on that what you see when you first look at them. First glance- Moto Guzzi Eldorado. Second glance- wait is that the intake popping out through the gas tank!? One thing we've learned by watching the Lord of the Bikes challenge is that Italians are not shy when it comes to chopping up brand new and beautiful machines. This one on the other hand, maintains lines and colors similar to the original, but adds some serious style and power.
The name Racer X comes from the book that inspired the first Fast & Furious movie, and they have chosen the movie's character Dominic Toretto as their main source of inspiration. In the movie, Toretto drives a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, some apsects of which can be easily noticed on Racer X. The large intake popping through the gas tank mimics that of the charger and the 15" rear car tire mounted in the rear is an obvious homage.
The entire tail section was hand formed out of aluminum creating a smooth sweeping line. Details at the handlebars were cleaned up to keep things minimalistic and simple as well. Plate-tuned exhaust were installed to offer a little more performance and a great sound.
We can't say enough how impressed we have been with the bikes coming out of the Lord of the Bikes contest. Stay tuned for more and head over to GarageMotoGuzzi.com to see more!
