Every two years the German city of Cologne gets swamped with the sounds of roaring engines, but it's not a bad thing; it's Intermot, the international trade fair for the motorized two-wheel scene. This year had the usual graybeard demographic representing, but word on the street was that large numbers of younger two-wheel fans (50 percent more than the last show in 2016) were flowing through the halls of Koelnmesse too, getting the full motorcycle show experience. With a packed slate of events on the program, with new model releases from Indian, Ducati, and Triumph, to the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, to even a special program for women riders, there really was something for everyone this year. Zillers Garage took first place in the 13th Annual AMD Championship with "Insomnia," a Yamaha SR400-based custom. Some of the other highlights for us:
