Fewer Accidents in Daytona
Only five riders died at this year's Daytona motorcycle week, although there were apparently some related fatalities in the area outside Volusia County. Last year, when it rained most of the week, there were only two deaths, but there were 10 the year before. Four of the accidents appeared to be the rider's fault. The other hit a vehicle that made U-turn in front of him.

Two Motorcycle Halls of Fame to Merge
The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, co-located with the American Motorcyclist Association in Pickerington, Ohio, and the National Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame in Anamosa, Iowa, have signed an agreement to merge. The announcement, made at Daytona Bike Week, said both would keep their own management, locations and programs, but share the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum banner.
